About the Artist

My name is Melissa Lynne Conley (Maslowski) (b. 1996) I was born and raised in Williamstown, New Jersey. From a young age, I had a fascination with art. As a child, I would sit with my sketch pad and pencil and try to mimic my favorite characters from animated movies I loved. For the most part, art was always just a hobby until I began at Williamstown High School in 2010. It was around this time that I really began to take an interest in drawing and spent most of my free time creating or recreating artwork from those I admired and inspired me.  I eventually adventured beyond the pages of my sketchbook and had my first art show in 2014 at Williamstown High School Awards Night.
In 2015, I moved to Oceanside, California. This is where I began studying art in college for the first time (Mira Costa College). I spent some time teaching beginner and advanced art classes while I lived in California. I spent 2015 to 2020 as a freelance artist primarily creating realistic pet portraits for my clients. In September of 2019, I returned to my hometown in New Jersey where I obtained my associates degrees in studio art and behavioral science. I spent a year substitute teaching until the covid-19 pandemic happened. It was a little before this that I had began my apprenticeship at Sinful Art Tattoo in Clayton, NJ.
The most important thing to me is not only creating solid tattoos and beautiful works of art but creating a connection with each of my clients. Whether it is a commission of a pet who has passed on or someone sitting in my tattoo chair, it is of utmost importance my clients always feel comfortable and important. I look forward to making art with you! I am currently tattooing out of Sinful Art Tattoo and taking new clients. At this time I am by appointment only. I am no longer accepting commissions at this time!
